This webquest allows students to connect their love for nature and sports to poetry. Students will research, read, and participate in group activities in order to gain an understanding for prose.
Introduction
Think of your favorite sport or activity you may be or have participated in. What did you notice? Perhaps the fresh cut grass on a sunny day or maybe the swift breeze brushing against your hair. How did you feel? Maybe the crowd roared when you made a home run or received a smiling approval from your crush. We all have these experiences that allow us to refer to these experiences again when we read a text. Through this webquest your groups are going to discover poems and determine the meaning, tone, and analyze a particular point of view.
